ABOUT
An experienced professional musician, composer and producer, Henry has worked with artists and songwriters including James Woodrow, Mike Stock (and related artists, including Paul Young, Chesney Hawkes, Toyah, Kim Wilde and Limahl), The Fizz (formerly Bucks Fizz), Dylan and The Moon, Lisa Canny, Leire and many more. A member of a number of function outfits, including Alleycatz and House of Ellington, Henry is the founder of his own agency, 'Greenlight Live' (to be formerly launched in the new year). Henry is also deeply involved in the field of library music, often collaborating with other composers on music for film, television and advertising, and has been featured on TV networks around the world, particularly within the BBC. With over fifteen years experience in teaching, whether one-to-one, small groups or lecturing, Henry has honed a concise yet malleable approach to tuition; which remains a great passion for him.
Within education, Henry has studied under Paul Westwood (David Bowie, Elton John, George Michael, Paul McCartney, Hanz Zimmer, Wayne Shorter) and holds a Masters in Contemporary Music Performance at the ICMP. Henry saw this Masters qualification as a chance to understand and present ideas within modern harmony, his final dissertation entitled 'Bebop: An Analysis of the Context Surrounding and some of the key Content Within the Innovations of Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie and the Birth of Modern Jazz'.
